This is idea 1, in two forms. I like the thought of having a central courtyard to provide cooling to the house. I am also exploring the concept of a rooftop garden to keep the roof cool - I'm not sure how well this will survive in the harsh conditions however. Similar to this idea is keeping plants close to the exterior walls of the house.

This is idea 2. Pretty much a circular version of idea 1. I had the rather far fetched thought that it could perhaps rotate to keep occupied rooms out of the sun at all times. This may be taking things too far.

This is idea 3. A massing type design. As with the previous concepts, it makes use of wide eaves, I also included a verandah or shade structure on the North facing wall.
Some of the key concerns for building in a hot/dry climate are:
1. shading - wide eaves, small windows, plants
2. thermal mass
3. light coloured building materials to reflect light
4. through ventilation
5. evaporative cooling systems
6. well insulated building envelope

I like the research u have done for this and your design issues u put up helps me alot. yeah id have to say my thoughts is that the rotating house is to far fetched. But maybe think about having the house close to the ground using the earth to heat the house on the cold nights
