Speaking of minimal space, I thought of Apple Computers megastore on 5th Avenue in New York city. The phrases 'mimimal' and 'megastore' may not quite work together but have a click of some of the images below and check out what Apple actually presents to the built-up hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue. Minimal eh?

That's a pretty cool idea, it's like they created their own bubble to block out whatever else is going on - rather an interesting idea...
Hi Daniel. I’m glad to see someone drawing attention to appropriate precedents. But what would be really interesting would be to hear (and see – through sketches) how these precedents have informed, or might inform, your design.
