Refining Ideas

These are a couple of sketches I made up for the last tutorial to illustrate my ideas for minima. The first shows my shoebox idea...

I'm still not completely decided as to which idea i will choose. My other sketches for the 'pod' design didn't scan well, so they are not shown, but I was very interested to read some of materials used for innovatice tent designs at the following website: http://www.forcetentents.com/technology/tenttechnology.htm

Food For Thought 1 : St. Andrews Beach House

Linked here is an article from last year which disusses the St. Andrews Beach House, designed by Sean Godsell Architects.

While it may not be designed under the same principles as our Minimals, have a read through the article and browse the images as this beach house is, in my opinion, an excellent example of extravagantly minimal design.

Well, considering that this blog is beginning to sound a little bit like some kind of bad advertising for a new cereal, I thought I might post some sketches! What a novel idea...

These are some of the ideas for Minima that I presented in the tute, nothing new yet, better get going with some good ideas! I think I might explore the pod thing a little more...
